Facial Redness and Rosacea Causes

Facial redness can be the result of sensitivity or allergy, reaction to environmental pollutants, or deeper skin conditions such as rosacea or vascular troubles. Rosacea sufferers flush easily, have red patches, prominent blood vessels, or experience general flushing regardless of the ambient temperature.

Medical grade skincare
1. Medical grade skincare is the first line of defense for aging skin, including rosacea and diffuse redness. The array of effective skincare products can be confusing without knowledge of the product ingredients and the work each product performs. Chemical Peels
1. Chemical Peels are one treatment choice for red, irritated, or itchy skin. Different formulations do different things, but their purpose is to remove the damaged or dead skin cells from the skin’s surface, extract impurities, and stimulate new skin cells to replace the old. Spa Medical uses three types of chemical peel, the ZO^® 3 Step Peel, the Vi Peel, or the ZO^® Stimulator Peel. Each of these produces specific results, and your Spa Medical practitioner can help you determine the best one for you.
Excel® V+
1. Excel® V+ Laser system’s two different wavelengths (532nm and 1064 nm) target the affected skin with light energy, coagulating the blood within prominent veins to damage the vessel irreparably. The body reabsorbs the vein and redirects your blood supply deeper below the skin’s surface, where it belongs. For redness not caused by vein concerns, the excel® V+ Laser can also reverse the damage of 20+ other skin concerns.

What Results Will I See?*

For those who choose chemical peels, a new complexion is just around the corner. In the days following treatment, the damaged and reddened skin will flake and peel away, leaving behind smooth, touchably soft skin and a clearer complexion. It may not completely remove the redness, but it’s greatly reduced. Repeated treatments can control unwanted redness for years to come.

Patients who’ve opted for the excel® V+ Laser treatment, your skin’s redness will visibly reduce between 2-6 weeks following treatment, with continued improvement over the next few months. Most patients achieve their goals after 1-2 treatments.

Is There Any Downtime?

With chemical peels, there is some social downtime in the days following your procedure while your skin renews itself. Excel^®-V Laser treatment patients experience a few hours or days of sensitivity and swelling. Both treatments require no physical downtime.
