Following the proper post-treatment guidelines, including general skincare practices that you’re likely already practicing, will help you extend the life of each treatment while protecting your newly restored volume and contours.
The first 48 hours after your RADIESSE® treatment set the foundation for optimal results. Avoid touching or massaging the treated areas unless specifically instructed by our team, as unnecessary contact can shift the product before it is allowed to settle in properly. Skip intense workouts, saunas and hot yoga for 24-48 hours to minimize swelling and bruising. You’ll also want to avoid blood-thinning medications like aspirin and ibuprofen unless medically necessary, as these can increase bruising.
Sleep with your head slightly elevated for the first few nights to reduce swelling, and apply cold compresses gently if needed for comfort. Most importantly, stay hydrated and avoid alcohol for 24 hours, as both can impact how your body processes the treatment.
Protecting your skin from sun damage becomes even more crucial after RADIESSE® treatment. Daily broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher helps preserve the collagen your body is working hard to build. Sun exposure breaks down collagen faster than your body can produce it, undermining the long-term benefits of your treatment.
Maintain a consistent skincare routine focused on hydration and collagen support.
